FASHION // Graduation Gift

Last week was my Graduation from my Graphic Design course. Above is me and my friend Holly, it was an awesome day full of happiness for all my friends achieving their Degree and sadness knowing I'll barely get to see them any more.

I had been eyeing up a few things I'd have liked to treat myself to for finishing. I am a total fangirl of FOSSIL as a brand, their bags are super soft and durable but also tailored beautifully. The smokey blue mini back pack is so cute and versatile, it is similar in style to my black shoulder bag so it was on top of my list to get but I was hesitant because of cost. While I was in London for an interview me and a friend were in the shop in Covent Garden and there it was, on sale and calling out to me and it was the last one!

The photos don't really do it justice. Now after many years in higher education it feels a little scary as to what is going to happen but I'm excited to move on to new things.

LIFESTYLE// CAMBRIDGE ADVENTURE

This weekend has been very eventful. I had a lovely little meet up on Friday with old friends to chat, got a haircut then on Saturday went to Cambridge with my boyfriend. We had breakfast at Frankie & Benny's, such a treat since I never have breakfast in restaurants, I highly recommend F&B's as their menu is much like the usual American Diner style and super filling.

It felt really nice to go on a little train journey, to such a beautiful place too. The town centre is pretty far so we did lots of walking, seeing plenty of grand buildings. We had a meal at Wagamama, which unfortunately wasn't as great as usual but it was lovely being together in the restaurant never the less. There is such a variety of shops in Cambridge and even though it was super busy the atmosphere was pretty calming. My boyfriend treated me to the beautiful charm bracelet, I love Fossil jewellery and it was so very sweet of him.

Other than the Cambridge update I thought I'd post some other bits I picked up this weekend. Some candles on offer from Clinton's where they have a huge sale on Yankee candles, seriously check it out I'm excited to try them with my weekly candles post. Also some bits from Blott for back to University in October, I'm fond of purple and these are essentials for sure!

FASHION // LUSTING OVER FOSSIL LTD ED. PETITE GEORGIA

Source Fossil
Oh my how stunning is this set, a timepiece with interchangeable leather straps to compliment any outfit, season or style. Released as a celebration of Fossil's 30 years of vintage style, this collection is on sale now with only 754 sets available. Despite the £379 price tag I think this is amazing value as you can use multiple straps to stack together with other bracelets, creating hundreds of stylish outcomes. The case is neat and beautiful in design and would look stunning along side other trinkets on a shelf, it feels like it could be from the classy vintage homes of the 1950's. The complete aesthetic of this set takes from both vintage and contemporary fashion to make a bold statement for your arms.

Although it is out of my price range just now I wanted to share this gem with other fashion lovers. Fossil is a brand that feels appropriate for such a large age market, it would be amazing to see more of their stores in the UK.  I leave you with other images of this luxurious set, from the website here.

FASHION // LDN SHOP '14

This week was the 4 designers conference in London, where four designers talk about their work in design and linked careers. I won't delve into it but it was incredibly inspiring and just made the idea of becoming a designer that much more exciting.

Another great part of this adventure was seeing my friend I'd not seen for over a year, she very kindly gave me a place to stay and it was so wonderful to just chill out with her and catch up on what's happening with our lives. Some people you can not see for over a year and yet be able to talk to like you'd never been apart. London has so much to offer in the way of shopping so I couldn't resist a little spend. I found a lot of the shops were full of the same stuff but some gems were out there.

Some LUSH goodies, my friend previously worked at one of the stores so it was great to get her recommendations and to treat myself to some relaxing products after deadlines.

Victoria's Secret is fairly new to the UK and after visiting one in Orlando, Florida I had to check out the London store. The store itself was overly elaborate with loud music and glitzy decor but it was amazing as an experience and the staff were so pleasant. If you're down in London check out the store, it's just outside Oxford Street.

I had been looking for a statement necklace for a while and since I got a rose gold watch on holiday I saw this chain and charm in FOSSIL and went for it. The four leaf clover is a great symbol for luck, I feel like I've had a lot of luck with love and the like recently.

I love visiting London, hoping to go there again with my fella.

FASHION // FOSSIL STACK ACCESSORIES

Bangle - Bracelet - Watch

Fossil is a store selling fine jewellery, clothing, bags, purses and accessories in general for those of you that aren't already aware of the store. Their selection is awe-inducing and every time I go to their stores I find myself wanting at least a handful of their bags.

While in Florida on holiday me and my sister went to Universal Studios, in their shopping/cafe district at the start of the parks they had a Fossil store and I was surprised honestly. Whilst there I was struck with surprise at just how much cheaper the prices were in contrast to the British stores.

I have had my eye on a Michael Kors watch for a while, the rose gold ones in particular but the ones in Fossil are just as gorgeous and came in the 'boyfriend' style that I loved. These photos don't do it justice really, the crystals look like authentic diamonds and the brushed metal effect convey a classy rather than full on bling appearance.

Also bought the bangle and bracelet, contrasting a delicate with a slightly chunky bangle and watch really mixes up the style and makes them go with just about anything I wear. Looking forward to mixing them with other pieces and investing in more in the near future.

Fossil have a great hashtag for their 'stacks' of bracelets with watches. Check out #fossilstackisback for lots of photos with beautiful accessories displayed on dainty wrists.
