BEAUTY&LIFESTYLE// SMALL STEPS DON'T COMPARE

It is difficult sometimes to be confident when you're surrounded by people that are successful, beautiful or happier than you feel. After all if you're struggling away to get a job or find someone special, seeing someone achieve that with ease can make it seem you're not good enough. Well this week's small steps is about combatting that. Far too often I'll see people losing weight faster than me or getting better grades and I'll feel low about my own achievements but truly am I ever seeing the full picture? These people are on their own journeys with their own struggles. They might be cramming in studies until the early hours of the morning and then exercising like crazy in the few hours in the evening.

The point is every one has their own journey, so try and separate your own. Don't compare, just support those around you and keep taking little steps to improve your own efforts. My small step will be to look at what I have achieved already and work towards making my own life that bit better. I'm blessed with a supportive family and friends that I can ask for help and offer help to in return.

If you're ever needing a little pick up that won't set you back then watch a feel good movie, go for a walk to clear your head and remember every day is a chance to make your life better. Sorry if this was a preachy post, it felt good to put down in writing something close to heart.

FASHION&LIFESTYLE// STRIPES & BLUEBERRY

Jacket H&M | Strap Top Primark | Shoes New Look | Lipstick Avon | Watch Fossil
Been a while since I did an outfit of the day, honestly not felt like it but today I was inspired by Emma and her latest post. These poofy tiered skirts make me feel like I'm 8 years old again, so fun but a nightmare to try and iron as it seems to wreck the shape. I found this skirt in TKMaxx, the brand is Superdry and it was only £9.99 (I also got a navy one, don't judge me heh). No tights for once as the weather is pretty awesome, not one for showing my arms though so the light jacket does the job.

On another note, as part of my healthy living I was looking up treat style meals that don't enlarge the waistline too much and came across a recipe for pancakes. There are only two ingredients in these! All they contain is banana and two eggs, I was so intrigued I made them right away and although mine don't look as beautiful as those on Nic's Nutrition where I found these I'm pretty pleased with them. They taste so scrummy, the banana adds a little sweetness so I didn't really need to add sweetener but I sprinkled some to try it out. I would recommend these to all you pancake lovers, a guilt free snack that gives you one of your five a day and a bit of protein, great post workout when you're craving!

Delicious with blueberries & stevia.

LIFESTYLE// SMALL STEPS WATER

Made a little banner to head my little series on healthy living so if you see this you'll know I'm talking all health and positive changes. Today that change is about my previous post on drinking better. Often brands are considered glamorous or cool, it is how they sell so well, especially when we see our favourite celebrities sipping that sugary pop. In a bid to counter this I've been looking at water bottles, a brilliant alternative to forking out for Evian on a daily basis and adding to the epic recycling issues.

Here are a selection of cuties I found online…

1. Blogilates $16.00 | 2. TK Maxx £7.99 | 3. Paperchase £6.00 | 4. Sports Direct £4.50 |
5. Amazon £8.79 | 6. Amazon £9.81
Do you use a water bottle whilst out and about? Would love some recommendations! I'm particularly fond of the Paperchase one with the little cup section, I'd likely put some snacks in there like fruit or nuts.
