EVENT // JARROLD'S LE JARDIN BLOGGER EVENT [image heavy]

This week I attended a wonderful blogger event at Jarrold's Department store in Norwich. Norwich doesn't have a huge blogger scene as far as I'm aware but it was wonderful to be part of Jarrold's first blogging events. The event was set up in time with the Le Jardin seasonal event, in which the beautiful flower patterns, displays and colours of Spring are brought forward, giving the store a fresh and feminine look. For those that are interested you can find them at http://www.jarrold.co.uk.

The event started with socialising, refreshments and nibbles. It was awesome to meet other likeminded bloggers (especially Jen, Leanne, Jemima and Georgina) to have a chance to chat about the things we love. The food looked amazing and was full of rich flavours, I think everyone cooed with awe at the presentation before we even started to nibble. The ladies that organised the event were so sweet and helpful, telling us about how the event was going to be and giving us tours of the beauty section and a platform with a range of their more youthful clothing to experiment with.

I was amazed at hearing some of the treatments on offer at Jarrold's, there is an almost secret spa centre underneath the beauty section know as 'The Retreat'. In there they offer anything from hot stone massage to your standard facial, the rooms are sound proof too so it is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the shops in town. Jarrold's also holds events with some of the specialist brands such as Ren in which you can get a facial for a £10 deposit and when you have finished that money can go towards a product from their range. I'm very fond of Ren's skincare range but will say more about that in another post as I received a few samples at this event.

One of the areas that stood out most to me was Jo Malone, I had walked past it curiously in the past as I'm very fond of their branding so it was wonderful to be told all about their products and services too. Their main ranges are perfumes, candles and reed diffusers. Although their prices seemed fairly premium the quality is sublime, with such diverse scents and the opportunity to have hand and arm massages to full appreciate them they definitely go that extra mile and they'll even gift wrap your purchase in these gorgeous boxes with ribbons.

Beautiful Clinique stand, they offer amazing skin consultations.

Nail bar for OPI, amazing for manicures and they're working towards more nail art designs.
The lovely lady at the T3 stand told us all about the new straighteners and hair dryers with a special rare stone in them that give superior results to standard ones and I'm excited to try one of these myself. She also gave a demonstration of the he-shi liquid express tan, showing us the ease of application and pretty impressive results, it was great to hear many of the staffs personal experience with these products too.

A few shots of outfits I made with the clothes they'd put aside. It felt really fun to get to have free reign of a space and make up your own co-ordinates with clothes I didn't own and having Jarrold's personal stylist at hand made it extra special, we had a lovely chat about what she does in store and about blogging. Hopefully more young people will see just how trendy and appealing Jarrold's clothing range can be to them, although it may not be as cheap as popping to H&M their clothing is of the best quality fabrics and has a very sophisticated look.

Apologies this post was image heavy but I had so much fun at the event and wanted to share as much of it as possible!

  1. These blogger events look like a lot of fun! I've yet to attend one. I also heard a lot of good things about the brand you mentioned like Ren, Jo Malone, etc. I wish they were more accessible in Korea. OH AND, I, especially, loved the outfits you put together!
