Bloggers | Inspiration 2016

Most of my blogging motivation comes from reading amazing blogs or seeing something beautiful while I am out on adventures. I'd love to share these with you and hope you find as much joy from them as I do. Please note all images below are from their respective blogs, I had never noticed before how similar their logos were either, clearly all very creative types!

Being Little is written by Lyzi, a lass residing in the South West of England. She posts beautiful outfit posts which never conform to the restrictions of current trends. It always feels like she has found a fresh new look whenever her outfit posts come up. Fashion aside she is eloquent with her writing and has an eye for stunning interior design, a great example is her latest post 'Living Room Lust'. If you love high quality photography with fun fashion Being Little is a wonderful blog to scroll through.

A Rosie Outlook is written by Rosie, hailing from Bournemouth she posts photographs of her fitness, fashion, food, travel and life posts. One of my favourite things about Rosie is she posts about real life issues and mindfulness, I believe I found the Lively Podcast through her blog in which intention based living is a key topic. Although her photographs are always beautiful I find myself even more captivated by the way she writes, as if you're old friends and she has a lot to catch up on with you. If you enjoy variety in blog posts then I highly recommend Rosie's blog.

On Serpentine Shores is my favourite blog for travel eye candy. Written by Alex, it features her adventures around Cornwall which is a place I went on holiday as a child and loved very much. Alex posts outfits but it never feels like an outfit post, more like a scene from a film with a beautiful country setting. The whole atmosphere of her posts and her blog in general are very natural and peaceful, like finding a beautiful book on a shelf in a bookstore then discovering it is a story which captivates you until the end. If you're into Poldark style visuals with content which fulfils every time then Alex's blog is for you.

Lady Luck Cream

As usual I have a whole load of work to do for Uni but needing a little break so thought I'd come do some blogging.

Looking around the shops recently I have noticed an influx of cable knit and soft spring colours; cream, pastel pink, muted teals and cool beige. I rarely buy knits as they make me look chunky/like a Michelin man as I'm short and quite curvy but I found some lovely little sweaters in H&M with cable knit fronts but plain backs and was so chuffed! They're clearly popular as every size but S & XS were sold out. I snatched up two slightly different ones in cream with a Chapelfield (our regions big clothes shopping mall) voucher I had.

I love the detail of these, it has a lovely nostalgic feeling, after years of wearing knitted sweaters in my childhood. I've collected some images for inspiration from Tumblr (all sources linked). A few of these look like the sweaters I have actually hehe!

Fashion is Passion Red

One of my favourite things to see on blogs is the inspirations of others, the people that make them wish they were richer so they could buy all the clothes or just some one that offers make-up/fashion inspiration.

So this post is dedicated to the people that have inspired and influenced me in the past few years.

1. Kristiina @ HauteKeikk.com

This lass is intelligent, stylish and savvy with fashion. Her posts consist of outfit photos, lifestyle posts and wishlists of items she loves. I think I learnt from her blog that simple can be stylish and that even a hat can make an outfit stand out and look awesome.

2. Emma @ Bloomzy.co.uk

I have known Emma for several years on a personal level, she's a lovely and sweet lass. I have always appreciated her natural flair for style and throughout all her different style choices she has remained a huge inspiration to me. I think her knowledge of beauty products mixed with her sweet personality are very enviable.

Kerti is passionate about photography and fashion, she has the most awesome style. I particularly love how feminine she always dresses and her super cute hair style. I found Romwe.com through her website and I haven't been the same since hehe. I think a big part of my interest in taking photographs has come from Kerti, as well as my drive to dress up daily even when all I'm doing is going to Uni.

I hope you find these blogs as wonderful as I did. I know that they are all popular blogs so they don't need the publicity but I felt that I would love to share the places I look for inspiration.

To the bloggers I mentioned I hope you don't mind me using your headers if you see this, you guys are awesome.

Autumn Brunette Auburn

Recently I got my hair cut, I don't do this frequently (once or twice a year, embarrassing to admit). I wanted to have something cute to compliment my heart shaped face, straight and long with no layers does little justice to such a full face.

This is what I wanted and got of course, a full fringe with layers and feathering around the face. Apologies about the poor picture quality. Usually I struggle to find a cut that works with my very fine hair and basic brown hair colour. I was tempted to get highlights put in but it wasn't within my budget and I think a stylish cut can do plenty.

So I was looking into some playful styles I could do with this type of cut.

1. My idol Zooey Deschanel is hilarious and has gorgeous hair! I think with a little volumiser and some imagination I could pull off her hair style.

2. Lea Michele's Bangs & Updo is so elegant and classy. I love how it works with her face-shape.

I hadn't realised how versatile having a fringe/bangs and classic brunette hair could be but there are some lovely glamorous ladies out there that rock this look so I'm going to try and be more adventurous with it too.
